Dear Friends,
This 8-hour meditation tradition, begun by Yogananda years ago, of spiritualizing the Christmas season by setting aside a full day for meditation and prayer, is now practiced by many thousands around the world. Even those who are unaccustomed to long meditations find they are carried along by the blessings of the season and the company of others also making the effort to meditate deeply. The morning session includes several chanting breaks and the afternoon will include inspirational readings and musical selections from many traditions. Here is a beautiful article with tips for enjoying long meditation.
We hope you can join us for a day of quietude and joyful connection with the deep peace and light that lies within. Below is a general schedule for the day. If you aren’t able to participate in the full 8 hours, it is encouraged to come in the morning, entering and exiting during chanting breaks, if possible.
If you can’t make it in person, please meditate with us from wherever you are at any time!
